Ever seen midget wrestling? It’s a bigger show than you’d expect.

This was my first midget wrestling show. Oh, wait…there was that time in Gatlinburg. Okay, this was my second midget wrestling show
On a random Monday the house was packed at the Marion County Sports Center. The music was ear splitting, the MC pint-sized, and the crowd primed for hilarity.
A dozen short-stack wrestlers were introduced – like Referee Rhonda, Amish Mafia, and crowd favorite Lieutenant Dan. Hijinks ensued.
In the ring there were rolls, jumps, and not so high flying kicks. A loose story, thinly woven, let us know which villain to boo. We were coaxed into a crowd chant: “Ho-ly Crap! Ho-ly Crap! Ho-ly Crap!” I couldn’t’ stop laughing.
The action spilled out into the aisles with ruckus and mayhem. The crowd hooted and hollered.
It was a fast moving laugh out loud show with lots of action. “Ho-ly Crap!”
Eventually the wrestling match devolved into a free-for-all where every player got lightly bashed with aluminum pans and garbage can lids.
At the end of the all-midget melee, Rhonda was the last one standing. She received the champion’s belt, a monster piece that outweighed her by half.
The show ended with cast members autographing battered aluminum trays – a $20 souvenir.
Sore from laughing, we headed for the exit. The merchandise table offered interesting choices…
Ho-ly Crap!

I had no idea that such a thing existed! Though, considering I’m not interested in any sport but a herd of thoroughbreds racing down a track (and I probably like it because horses are gorgeous when “flying” down the track as well as a race only lasts a few minutes), it’s not surprising that I had no idea midget wrestlers even existed. You do give us variety in your posts!
The spice of life!
Thank you for attending this event on my behalf! I saw it advertised and wanted to go – and sorta didn’t want to go at the same time. I love your photo of the wrestler in black in mid-air. Looks like a spectacular time was had by all!
I go to these things so you don’t have to! 😂
