There’s another Nashville worth visiting – the one in Indiana!
Brown County, Indiana is a historic community dating back to pioneer days. It’s been years since we last visited, and it seemed like a perfect spring weekend trip.
The jewel of Brown County is the little town of Nashville. It started as an artist colony over 100 years ago, and the town happily continues this tradition with craftsmen and artisans on every corner.
I love when a place is better than I remember. Nashville has really grown into something special. We spent a fine weekend walking the pretty streets and shopping.
Usually I’m the big shopper, but Tim won the prize that weekend. Many purchases were made.
Had an excellent lunch at the old Nashville House (lobster bisque, fish & chips). Plus a huge pizza at Bronzinni that fed us for two more days.
The other reason for visiting Nashville was an event at the Brown County Music Center. Four hosts of the History Channel show, Ancient Aliens, gave a two-hour presentation that was lively and fun.
Nashville Indiana – a great little get-away town!

We used to love the Lil Opry (a smaller more local version of the Grand Ole Opry in the other Nashville), but it had a fire and although kept saying it would reopen “soon” never did. Do you know what happened with it?
Oh gosh, I do not know what happened to the Lil Opry. The new Brown County Music Center was quite nice though!
