Let’s visit the Garden of Gas Station Signs…

In Whiteland, Indiana, just to the left of Indianapolis, an impressive display of vintage gas station signs sits on a small lot near the center of town.
I read about this unusual “garden” and took a little detour to see for myself. It did not disappoint.
I don’t know who made the effort to gather these vintage gas signs, lovingly restore them, and hoist them up on matching pylons. There was no information on the adjacent building, and no one was around the day I visited.
Someone sure did a fine restoration job here!
The Garden of Gas Signs was a welcome diversion on an otherwise ho-hum drive through Indiana.
If you know who constructed this garden, give my compliments to the owner!

Thanks Richie – That’s the sort of gem I absolutely never would have uncovered on my own. Neat!
Find the book Secret Indiana by Jamie Ward. Good guide to all that’s odd!
