That rusty old car place. I think every town has one. A place piled up with wrecks and salvaged heaps. Could be a junkyard or just a guy who likes to collect old cars in his yard. Sometimes it’s a little of both – a junked yard!
For about 100 years, starting in 1805, the Shakers prospered at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. They believed in equality of race and gender, and created a Utopian community known as Shaker Village. Today you can visit their town, perfectly preserved as a historic destination.
